Responsibilities and tasks are very structured at Baumalight and there are many locations here in Ontario Canada, that work together to serve Baumalight customers.

The department that is entering orders has no visibility to what happens at all the many different locations after the orders are entered and don’t know how far along an order is without reaching out to production. The volume of orders is too great to expect them to remember that this same dealer already has an order in place and even if they did, more and more dealers have multiple locations these days and parts often ship direct to end user so most of the time the dealer would not want to ship to the same location anyway. Secondly, we are working to automate online ordering for the dealers for less human error and faster order processing.

The order processing also is split into two different departments, and separates parts only orders from orders that include a whole good.
So, let’s say a dealer has a whole good on order with a bit of lead-time and later send a parts order in then the parts order goes to a completely different department. The parts order department has no visibly to the whole goods department without going out of their way to ask questions and will not check every parts order that comes along.

Whole goods are also made at multiple different locations that have no visibly to each other, so it is possible whole good orders can be finished on the same day at different manufacturing locations without anyone at either location knowing about the other.

And the reason we still cannot assure parts are shipped with whole goods even if the dealer asks is because with so many structural layers, communication between humans does take time and if a dealer would ask that a parts order be shipped with a whole good in mid morning, the whole good order might actually be completed and go out the door before the question makes it way through all the internal steps to become fruitful.

We will try our best however, but we just don’t make any promises so to keep yourselves save, (Dealers) please do not place a parts order if you are not prepared to pay freight for it.
At Baumalight we do not honor anything that is said over the phone, the only exceptions we honor are written ones.
So again, even if you are told over the phone that we can get it out with a whole good, please do not place a parts order if you are not prepared to pay freight for it, just take it as a bonus if we manage to do so.
