Mini Skid Steer Stump Grinder - S14

The S14 skid steer stump grinder is designed with simple operation in mind, with no required electrical connection. The direct flow hydraulic drive is designed to provide the best torque and RPM to the cutting head as no flow is diverted to a swing cylinder. The S14 mini tool carrier stump grinder features round carbide teeth which can be rotated three times, letting you grind stumps longer and faster on very low flow. The unique positioning of the rotor allows the operator an excellent view of the grinding action and the heavy duty fixed deflector safely directs the flow of debris. Cutting depth is up to 10" below ground. The concave shaped carbide tip of our High Speed Teeth provide aggressive cutting action by chipping the brush bit by bit. The high number of teeth means that each tooth needs to do less work.

Each of the Stump Grinders teeth only need to make a small cut, because the work is shared by more of our rugged teeth they last longer and usually only require 2 or 3 replacements at a time. The bolt-on designed teeth allow for straightforward replacement. The massive 0.5" thick steel rotor provides the back bone for the Stump grinder cutting system. It’s the anchor for the carbide tipped teeth. For smooth operation it’s important that the rotor remains solid, with no flexing. The rugged rotor also provides the Stump Blast Grinder with the extra momentum needed when the grinding is tough, making sure the Stump Grinder can power through the hardest stumps. The S14’s size and the available mini skid steer mount makes it a great stump grinder for better access to tight areas and a nice addition to the rental offering on a mini skid steer. A S14 with a motor of S250 having a PSI of 2500 can cut a stump of 24 inches in 50 mins at 12 GPM, whereas the same motor parameter and increased PSI of 3000 can cut a stump of 24 inches in 40 mins at 12 GPM. If the GPM is increased to 15, the time taken will be reduced.
By a quick pull of two pins a standard size skidsteer plate can be put on as well.

More Clearance

The Stump Blaster’s carbide teeth extend a full 1-¼ inches from the rotor. This prevents chips and mulch from getting plugged. More chip clearing produces smoother operation and reduces heat build-up that can damage the rotor and cause premature tooth failure.

Rotor

The massive ½" thick steel rotor provides the back bone for the Stump Blaster cutting system. It’s the anchor for the carbide tipped teeth. For smooth operation it’s important that the rotor remains solid, with no flexing.
